If you are thinking about enrolling in Chemistry 222 next quarter, or even if you are enrolled currently in a different CH 222 section, I'd like to take a minute to recommend enrolling in my Chemistry 222 section H1 class.
Chemistry 222 meets on Wednesdays from 1:10 - 5 PM starting in AC 2501. There are no "mandatory" lecture times for this class; ideally, this class works well for people commuting from far away places or for people who have another class on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays at 9 AM and can't enroll in a "regular" section of CH 222. However, this does not mean that you cannot attend the "regular" CH 222 lectures (which are Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays at 9 AM in AC 1303) - indeed, I encourage it if it works in your schedule! - but you'll never have to go to the lectures, it's only on your time.
I encourage you to consider enrolling in section H1 of Chemistry 222 for the following reasons:
- Smaller class size - you'll have more attention from the me, the instructor :). My other three sections are very full, so you'll have less interactions with me than if you were in my section H1 class.
- Flexibility - you decide your schedule and go from there.
- Same class content - you'll get the regular CH 222 class experience which is almost identical to the other sections.
- No BlackBoard or MyMHCC Portal knowledge required - we'll just use our CH 222 website (http://mhchem.org/222) as we did in Chemistry 221.
You can also read more information about the differences and similarities here: https://mhchem.org/222/classroom/zwb.htm
Attending this section of CH 222 will not be for everyone (some of you will have conflicts on Wednesday afternoon), but if interested, I do recommend checking it out! And of course if you have other questions, please email me, I'd be happy to answer them!
