Calculating E^o

This page provides basic exercises for calculating standard cell potentials. When you press "New Problem", an unbalanced redox reaction will appear. Calculate the value of E^o in Volts, enter it in the answer cell and press "Check Answer." Results will appear in the main table. Redo incorrect problems.

• Be careful about the sign. Positive values can be entered as is (do not use a "+" sign. Negative values must have a "-" sign.
• Pressing "Display Potentials" will display a table of cell potentials with their unbalanced reaction
• Pressing "Show Answer" will cause the correct answer to appear and you will no longer be able to submit an answer for that problem.
